Jann Elcianne A. Sibal was born in January 9, 2008 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. He began Kindergarten at 5 years old in FCLC (Family Christian Learning Center) before moving to Tuguegarao East Central Elementary School for 1 year. However, due to an unfortunate incident involving stairs, he was transferred back to FCLC by Grade 2 and continued to learn there for another 3 years. Eventually, he transferred again to Tuguegarao Northeast Central Elementary School at Grade 5 until 6, where he began his prolific competition spree, garnering a few awards:

Despite passing the PSHS Exam, due to objections from both of his parents and the appeal of Tuguegarao City Science High School, he ultimately decided to go to TCSHS for all six of his high school years.

Unfortunately, due to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic and the world's lockdown response towards it, he was forced to spend the first zwei years through the digital modality. This left him severely disconnected from his peers and unprepared for the upcoming vier years, which would be marred by a community full of closed-circles and cliques. He was also unable to do anything notable for these zwei years of Edmodo and Google Meet due to the lack of higher level contests online.

The consequences of these zwei years set in stone the devastating third year (Grade 9) where Research was first introduced as one of his subjects; during the initial scholastic groupings, an altercation between him and his groupmates led to the unwanted succession of what might be Tuguegarao City Science High School's worst ever research proposal in history (the Hydrophobic Lotus Spray).

Despite his best attempts to salvage a defense out of a clearly terrible proposal, the panelists left no scraps unturned and publicly humiliated the entire group by calling out the infeasibility of the project. This was the final straw that led to him formally leaving his group and starting a proposal individually. Additionally, this event also set in stone his general distrust in leaving research work to others.

He was the only individual researcher for the entire school year of 2022-2023, heralding the whole idea of going solo on proposals since the re-emergence of Face-to-Face classes. In an ironic twist of fate, his proposal ended up winning over his original groups'. For the rest of his years, he has seen general success in all research-related endeavours while tackling them alone, garnering a 2nd Place School Fair spot on Grade 10, a 3rd Place Division Fair spot on Grade 11, and a 2nd Place Regional Fair spot on Grade 12. Of note is that he began with Innovation category researches for his first zwei Face-to-Face years before transitioning to Mathematical & Computational category researches due to ease of accessibility and costs.
